The French were the first to figure that clean absorbent bandages were far more superior to any other type of bandages. Red Cross nurses started supplying every nurse to have sanitary napkins. It was 5 times more absorbent than the standard bandages. The machine guns became a very powerful weapon during world war1 usually for one stationary machine gun it took 4-6 men.
